Here's the page that has all you need to know about cages and it has cage photos and links, and many more! Enjoy!

The importance of why keeping your cavy or cavies in a cage:

The cage is what protects thems, keeps them out of trouble, and where you don't have to supervise them 24/7. So the cage must be safe to insure the safety of your cavy or cavies. So that's why you need a cage, and it must be safe!

Types of cages, what they are made of, and if good or bad, and etc:

Wire bottom, Wire sides: The name already gives away what it is made of! It's HORRIBLE FOR CAVIES! They aren't like rabbits, they have little feet, not big feet. Their feet get caught, then when you finally get their foot out and they are really stressed, and it can lead to death( believe me, this happen to my poor baby guinea pig, Ginger! Another tip: NEVER BELIEVE EVERYTHING A PETSTORE EMPLOYEE SAYS!)

Plastic Bottom, Plastic Sides: The name tells you already! It NEVER COULD BE USED AS A CAGE! Firstly an animal cannot breathe in something that is all plastic! NEVER, EVER, MAKE A CAGE LIKE THIS! It can suffocate your animal( IT WILL!). NEVER MAKE ONE!

Plastic Bottom, Wire Sides: The name tells it already! This is a perfect type of cage! I'd highly recemend this type of cage!! It's perfect-o!

Solid Metal Bottom, Wire Sides: The name already tells what its made of! It also a perfect-o cage! Buy it for a cavy cage!!!

Coroplast Bottom, Wire Sides: Great type of cage, go to: www.cavycages.com , to learn more about it and how to make it!

Aquarium: Made out of glass or plexiglass. HORRIBLE curculation! Wouldn't recemend this type of cage!!

Remember each cavy needs 3-10 sq. feet to her/him self!

If your making a Coroplast and wire cage( the wire is called creative cubes in some stores) or Soild metal and wire( the wire is called creative cubes in some stores) them down below will have it where it has the number of cavies you can put in a cage of a certain size.

2' X 3': one(1) cavy

2'X 4': two(2) cavies

2' X 5': three(3) cavies

2' X 6': four(4) cavies

And so on.....
